Email harvesters are nasty. They scan websites looking for email addresses displayed in HTML code. Once they snag the email address, they start their campaigns - sending out ads and other emails. Not just to that email address, they also send emails to others, making it look like they came from you.
Our Email Obfuscatorconverts your email address from HTML characters to HTML Unicode numeric entities. When you display the page, it LOOKS like your email address and is readable by humans – but NOT readable by email harvesters or other machines.
Updated:Supports standard and international email addresses, including accented characters, non-Latin scripts, and internationalized domain names. Optional display text supports Unicode characters, including emoji.
- Type in your email address in the top box.
- Optionally enter display text in the second box; leave it blank to display the email address. Both the address and display text are obfuscated.
- Choose whether to add the nofollow directive, then submit and copy either output.
Adding nofollow directive to a mailto: link is harmless and will not break anything, but it is completely unnecessary.
