Image Convert To/From gif, jpg, png, webp, heic
Both ‘gif’ and ‘png’ are lossless image formats. If selecting either of these as a destination format, compression will not apply. Our library also does not compress ‘heic’ format images. Compression will apply only to ‘jpg’, and ‘webp’.
Where possible, we use the ImageMagick functionality. Otherwise, we are using the GD library. In either case, EXIF information is carried to the converted image.
Quality has a direct impact on compression levels. Higher quality means lower compression.
- Maximum image size you can upload is 30 MB
- Quality level: High is recommended and closest to the original image quality
- Quality levels are different for each type, here is an approximation:
- Quality levels do not apply to gif or png files
- Quality levels do not apply when heic files
are source or destination - jpg/jpeg: range is 0 to 100:
mid-range is 50, high is 80, highest is 100
- webp: range is 0 to 100:
mid-range is 50, high is 80, highest is 100
anything over 80 increases file size (100 = 30% increase)
- Your image upload is deleted after conversion (not retained)
- Your image will notbe used or forwarded
Quality: | Mid | High | Highest | |||
 | Setting | Comp % | Setting | Comp % | Setting | Comp % |
jpg/jpeg | 50 | 89.9% | 80 | 74.6% | 100 | n/a |
